GRAND OPENING OF GARDU BUKU

     Bangkalan, Citizenry -– student executive board (BEM) Faculty of social and cultural scientist (FISIB), University of Trunojoyo Madura had already done for doing the first point of three student functions that is Agent of Change.  Agent of change  is related to how all of the students can give the real changing of social life, education, and others. 

     On Sunday, 07^th of October 2018 Gardu Buku has been realist by student excecutive board (BEM FISIB). Gardu Buku is a place which is similar with a small library, this place is located in Telang village, Kamal, Bangkalan exactly in Candi. The location is so near with University of Trunojoyo Madura at least 10 minutes from University of Trunojoyo Madura . This event is also including some volunteers from other majors in University of Trunojoyo Madura so, BEM FISIB collaborate with them for doing this activity. The chairman of BEM FISIB (Choirul Anwar) said that Actually this activity has some purposes, the first is they will teach the children who can not read the book or write some words untill they can do that, and the second is they will make some ways how to understand the content of some books.

     The grand opening was opened at 03.30 P.M in the location, some of  civitas academica in FISIB was invited in this agenda. The agenda was running from the beginning by the master of ceremony (Eri and Oky), while the first agenda is opening, the second agenda is reciting of Qur’an, the third agenda is speech by some speakers, the fourth agenda is formal ceremony of Gardu Buku and the last agenda is closing.

     Speech here is delivered by Hendra as the chief of committee, Anwar as the chairman of BEM FISIB, Samian as the chairman of DPM FISIB and also Mrs. Kholifah as the owner of institute.  They said about what they hope from this agenda and what activity that will they do in this agenda. Most of them are happy and proud of this agenda. Anwar said that this agenda will be going on twice in a week on Saturday and Sunday, so the student can borrow a book or come to this library on that day, this agenda began on october until the end of desember 2018. But, he also hoped this agenda can be continued in the following year.

     Mrs. Kholifah said that she is proud of this agenda, also if there are some students  want to be volunteer as well, she will give place for them to do that because she knows that her village need helping from students of UTM. During her speech, there are some mothers of  the students which spook up, she said that if the volunteer has other capability,  she wants that the volunteer will give the knowledge for the student and also increasing students ability from art, write, sing, or others. She also wants if there is some students who is having an assigment, that can’t be finished by them or their parents, she wants from the volunteer can help the children and she hopes this agenda isn’t just the agenda for students but also for the older people who want to study.

     The opening ceremony of Gardu Buku was opened by Samian as the chairman of Legislative Students (DPM) FISIB to the owner of institution (Mrs. Kholifah) in a symbolic by giving a book. All of the people are very enthusiastic with this agenda. (apb/brr)
