Challenging adrenaline at Budug Asu
Malang, Citizenry--Budug asu is one of the hills on the slopes of Mount Arjuno Where is located in Wonosari, Lawang, East Java. This natural destination has not been heard enough by the public because of its hidden location. This location can be reached through two lines, Surabaya or Malang. The trip can be taken in about two hours by private vehicle.
This tourist location was inaugurated in 2016 which is managed by the Indonesian Forest Company (Perhutani). The name of the Budug Asu itself is taken from the story of the local community who used to be dogs that lived since the Dutch era. But, suddenly they were exposed to a deadly virus, the Budug virus. Where the dogs are buried alive on a hill. So that the hill is named Budug Asu.
To enter this destination, it can be done in two ways. First, if we are from the Surabaya route, we have to go to the Wonosari tea garden agro tourism location, Lawang. The price of a motorbike ticket to enter agro tourism is Rp. 12,000, -. After that, we have to pay an entrance ticket of Rp. 10,000, - to enter the hilltop area of Budug Asu. Secondly, if we are from Malang, we can go through alternative routes, namely through Karangploso. No entrance fees.
The journey to the top of the hill can be done in three ways. That is by walking for about four hours including passing the entrance ticket window (up and down), trail-bike rental, and jeep rental at a predetermined price, with a distance of approximately two hours including passing
the entrance ticket window (up and down ). This destination is not intended for someone who has respiratory problems, heart disease, and phobia altitude. But for those of you who like a challenge and other things that smell with nature such as camping, mountain biking, and tracking with motocross, this destination is highly recommended.
The challenge to reach the peak that triggers adrenaline, starts from the rocky, sandy, wavy, and windy streets. Therefore, it is recommended to use appropriate costumes and footwear to avoid undesirable things. But do not worry, during the trip, we are entertained by cool weather, attractive scenery, dogs and forest monkeys.
In addition, a thrilling sensation arises when riding a bike dirt. The road is rocky and sandy, making us have to maintain balance by following the instructions given. Because the terrain is quite steep, we have to change vehicles, namely jeeps.The excitement also continues when we pass track a more challenging. That is a narrow and uphill road. So that makes us have to maintain an extra balance. With stunning views that is, Mount Arjuno and the beautiful cliffs, feeling tired and anxious instantly disappears when we reach the top of the hill of Budug Asu.
With the official launch of the Asug Budug nature tourism, it can open up livelihoods and increase income for the local community. "Since I was in the third grade of elementary school, I have been taught to ride a trail-bike and study the track to get to the top. And that is a must.
